Dear Steven-

It’s been 2.5 years- 30 months- 913 days.

“Everything is different, but nothing’s really changed.”

After so long, you’re still mine. After so long, you still love me with all of the love God has instilled in you.
You still race me to the car to be sure you open my door first.
You still wrap your hand around my two small fingers and guide me through big crowds.
You still slow dance with me on a moment’s notice.
You still massage my throbbing back and tuck me in for sleep.
You still kiss my wounds and cradle me when I’m sad.
You still make me laugh until my insides hurt.
You still taste my unsatisfying kitchen experiments, and tell me you appreciate each bite.
You still fold my laundry and help me do the dishes.
You still take cliche pictures with me, after taking 100 cliche pictures minutes before.
You still speak to me lovingly after I have hurt your feelings.
You still forgive me after bitter slurs spew out of my mouth.
You still call me ‘gorgeous’ when my face is bare and my clothes are messy.
You still pray to thank God for giving us this love that is ‘rare and beautiful.’

And you’re still here.

I still see that spunky little kid I fell in love with in you. But we’ve grown up, and 2.5 years feels miniscule in comparison to the future we dream about. You’re more than any expectation I’ve ever had in the man I was going to marry. Thank you for two and a half years. & Thank you for agreeing to spend an eternity with me. I’ll be your wife in 4 months, Steven Craige. I love you with everything inside of me.

I am so in love with you N’tima. You have given me everything that I could ask for. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for always caring enough to listen to my complaints and advice that doesn’t actually fix anything. Thank you for being the girl I fell in love with so long ago. Although you’re even better now, at being so perfect, I cant imagine what our marriage will be like in just a few months. You will be the girl I want to be with forever. You will always be by my side, and I will always know that. THAT is why I am going to marry you. That is why I know I’ll never have a doubt in us. Thank you for being my fiancée. And thank you for giving me another reason to be happy. Thank you for helping me find God. And thank you for giving me your heart forever, in 4 months.
