On the way to the fatlace meeting saturday, I was coming off the highway to an intersection. There was a homeless man standing on the side of the road asking for food, not money. He just seemed humble and tired. I thought to myself I’ll just ignore him, like I selfishly (usually) do when I see a homeless person.

I decided to wave at him and smile, and not ignore him. This man looked at me and smiled and said “May God bless you sir.” As wierd as it sounds, this was humbling. Who am I to think that I’m any better than a person who is homeless or in need.

I will no longer ignore a homeless person again…
